Hi, I’m Esther Ho from Hayward, California. I am very much concerned about reaching a just peace in Palestine/Israel. I urge you to vote for selective divestment from companies that benefit from the occupation. I feel it is one of the most powerful ways that we have available to press for an end to the Israeli occupation. I am convinced that if we are true friends of the Jewish people, we will help the Israeli government make the changes they must make in order to live in a peaceful way with their neighbors.
May God lead you to be firm in your resolve to make a positive contribution on this issue. Esther Mohler Ho

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
Would you like to see the peace of Christ return to the Holy Land? A peace that most Christians in this country believe is untenable? It’s not, and your Christian faith tells you as much; Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God!
Please vote for selective divestment from companies that benefit form the occupation. It is the most powerful, nonviolent way we, as Americans, have to pressure the Israeli government to end its occupation. Only through ending the occupation will we have a chance for a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Warm regards,

Dear Christians: please show your love for Jews, Israelis, and Palestinians by voting for selective sanctions. This is a moderate, well conceived step forward in applying pressure to the state of Israel. It shows that you
dissent from the narrative that portrays Israel as always the victim, while Palestinian rights and well being remain an after thought. We progressive Jews who care about the future of Israelis and Palestinians need your help at this time - please stand up! This is a good time to vote your conscience.

Kudos to JVP. This is a smart effort.

My name is Uri Strauss. As a child, I was a settler in East Jerusalem and on the West Bank settlement of Efrat. I was taught in school and in my community that God gave all of Israel, including Judea and Samaria, to the
Jews and that Arabs (we didn’t acknowledge that they were Palestinians) were a menace that had to be defeated. I believed it and I participated in acts of racial harassment against the Palestinian workers who worked in the settlement. It was not until I was older and in the Canadian education system that I came to realize how wrong I had been. It’s painful to reflect on the indignities and humiliations that I may have caused.
The United States government does the wrong thing by funding and providing political cover for the Israeli occupation of Palestine. I believe it is up to civil institutions, especially community institutions that espouse moral standards, to morally condemn and financially divest from the occupation. I trust you to do the right thing.

During my three years of service as a tank commander in the IDF I have seen some of America’s top brands destroy people’s homes and livelihood both in Gaza and in the West Bank. My part in the occupation is something I will always regret. What about your part?
Please invest in peace,
Eitan.

I am a Jewish American woman and I believe that selective divestment against companies that benefit from the occupation is a powerful, nonviolent way that we as Americans can push for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands. Companies that benefit from the occupation and human rights violations have an interest in its continuance. Through selective divestment, it is possible to cause these companies to reconsider their own best interests. I am pro-Israel, pro-peace, and pro-humanity. Israel will never have peace until it ends its occupation and human rights violations, and any steps we can take to bring about this result, will be steps to peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.
Thank you,
Heather Shafter
