Divestment from companies that benefit from the Israeli occupation is the most powerful, nonviolent way we, as Americans, have to pressure the israeli government to end its occupation. Only through ending the
occupation will we have a chance for a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Please vote to support divestment.

When I went to Israel as a young adult, I cried deeply when I encountered the home demolitions and the land confiscations. My support of selective divestment from companies that make money from the destruction of life and livelihoods in the Occupied Territories is a continuation of my grandparents’ dream of a world where all people are free. Our governments have failed us. Please, my church friends and allies, take this courageous step. What you do will send a powerful message around the world.

My name is Sydney Levy. I had the privilege of living in Jerusalem for seven years and saw first hand the effects of the Israeli occupation. I am asking you to do the right thing and divest from companies that profit from this occupation. The Bible says, “Seek peace and pursue it” (Proverbs 34:14). You have now an opportunity to follow that commandment. Please do it for the sake of both Palestinians and Israelis. Both deserve a chance to live in peace and security–not as occupier and occupied peoples.
