The Israeli occupation has gone on for far too long. Too many people are
dying and suffering every single day because of it. The Israeli-Palestinian
conflict must be resolved to give stability and hope to the region and the
entire world!
Please vote for selective divestment from companies that benefit from the
occupation. It is the most powerful, nonviolent way we, as Americans, have
to pressure the Israeli government to end its occupation. Only through
ending the occupation will we have a chance for a lasting peace between
Israelis and Palestinians.
Palestinian children deserve hope for a brighter future!!! Let’s send them
the message of support and love and bring ACTION to our prayers and good
intentions.
Thank you,

Dearly beloved. I am the adult child of a Methodist minister, and I implore
you: Please vote for selective divestment from companies that benefit form
the occupation of Palestine. It is the most powerful, nonviolent way we, as
Americans, have to pressure the Israeli government to end its occupation.
Only through ending the occupation will we have a chance for a lasting peace
between Israelis and Palestinians.
God is love, and Love is God. Only through Love will we be saved.

Dear Sisters and Brothers:
I am the daughter and granddaughter of Holocaust survivors. I moved
to the United States from Poland with my mother and grandmother when
I was five years old. From early childhood I knew that most of our
family had been murdered by the Nazis, and that the ones who survived
endured unbelievable ordeals because they were Jews. For my family,
the experience of the Holocaust formed a single moral imperative: to
never dehumanize others. Prior to her death three years ago, my
mother grieved over the policies of the Israeli government, which she
saw as degrading and humiliating to the Palestinian people. She knew
that occupation breeds hatred in the occupied, and heartlessness in
the occupier. In my mother’s memory, I salute you for struggling over
the issue of Israel and Palestine, and urge you to vote for selective
divestment from companies that benefit from the occupation. The true
flourishing of both Israelis and Palestinians requires an alternative
to the brutal and self-defeating policy of occupation.
Yours most sincerely,

As a Jewish American inspired by my culture’s tradition of social justice, I am asking you to take a brave stand and vote for selective divestment from companies that benefit from the occupation. It is the most powerful, nonviolent way we have as Americans to pressure the Israeli government to end its occupation. Only through ending the occupation will we have a chance for a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians that will benefit all of us.

Salam.
I urge the Methodists to support divestment from companies that support Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands.
If we don’t encourage peaceful means of ending the occupation, we will be effectively leaving the door open to more violence that will deeply damage Israelis and Palestinians for generations.
Palestinians will continue to resist, because the dynamic of a continued occupation means a slow genocide for them. The conditions of the occupation have drastically pauperized the Palestinian population and worsened all their economic, health and educational levels, especially in recent years.
We need to give Palestinians hope that their non-violent means of struggle (which our Media hardly ever mention) are the best ways to reach the goal of ending the occupation. They desperately need international solidarity– even more than the South Africans needed it to defeat apartheid.
Please also listen to to the voices of Israeli peace activists: Opposing the occupation is the best way to show that you care for Israelis, because there will be no peace as long as the occupation continues.

I come to you as a video editor who sees daily the effects of the conflict
on the lives of innocent Palestinians through nonprofit video used to help
Palestinians in their situation. They have no where to go. Homes in ruins, a
huge unemployment rate, and no where to even begin because even as something
is built up, something else is violently destroyed. To even begin a
semblance of peace, we must use pressure with selective divestment, because
we have such a big hand in everything. We are called to love every person
and I believe, to communicate to every person this same love, to Israelis
and Palestinians alike, regardless of their actions, for that is the grace
that God has shown us. Right now, this violence we support does not manifest
the nonviolent Christ we follow. We must choose to let go of the monies that
support Israel’s violence and continue to nonviolently encourage Israel and
Palestine to actively seek peace.

Dear Friends in Christ,
I have been studying the Israeli-Palestinian issue fervently over the
past two years and have concluded that Occupation of the Palestinian lands
do not further the security of either Israel or of the US. The Israeli
policies in the West Bank and in Gaza are unjust and inhumane toward the
Palestinians, both Muslim and Christian. As followers of Christ, the
Prince of Peace, I urge you to take action, not to punish the rightful
economy of Israel, but to prevent corporations from profiting by the
occupation.
While “apartheid” is a strong and emotional word, I believe that the
Israeli policies of land acquisition, road building, water diverting,
wall building, etc. comes as close to the shameful apartheid as I can
imagine. Roadblocks, checkpoints, settlements in the occupied
territories are making life miserable for the Palestinians, who are also
children of God.
Divestment is one non-violent tool that we Christians can use to
alleviate their suffering. Please vote to divest!

I am a Christian who supports Jewish Voice for Peace because I agree with
them that Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, its imprisonment of Gaza and
its brutalisation of Palestinians are deeply immoral. I also respect Jews
who oppose the corrupting influence of AIPAC and the rest of the ‘Jewish
Lobby’ and our mainstream Zionist media. I therefore urge you to adopt a
disinvestments in companies supporting Israel’s illegal and immoral actions.

pressure the Israeli government to end its occupation. Only through
ending the occupation will we have a chance for a lasting peace between
Israelis and Palestinians. At present we have a very small David and a
very large Goliath. If you can vote for this measure and help stop the
flow of money to these companies, negotiations may be able to proceed
with both parties on a slightly more even footing.
